The mission of Military Families for Justice is to raise awareness and enact change in the U.S. Military Justice System through the passage of the Bill of Rights for Bereaved Military Families.

These rights include conducting independent, legal, unbiased, public, transparent Military Inquest Hearings of all deaths involving active-duty military personnel.

Military Inquest Hearings currently practiced in the United Kingdom and more recently, Canada, provide a legal forum to learn of all circumstances involved in the death of an active duty service member, allow bereaved families a voice in the legal process, and give critical opportunity to identify any systemic problems or failures that may have been a contributing factor in the death.

The United States is lagging far behind in providing the same justice for its service members and their families.

We as a nation have a duty to our Bereaved Military Families by allowing them closure and further obligation, to the best of our ability, to protect the health and wellness of our military.
